Mr. Russell J. Frank is a Partner in the Orlando office of CPLS, P.A. He is a member of the firm’s Criminal Defense and Divorce and Family Law Practice groups.
Mr. Frank’s experience in criminal defense derives from his prior work experience representing clients in corporate defense and compliance in a large international firm in Washington, D.C., tenuring as an Assistant Public Defender in Orlando, and managing his former private practice where he focused on criminal defense and family law.
Mr. Frank’s experience as an Assistant Public Defender for the Office of the Public Defender in Orange County includes working as lead counsel/chair on over 30 criminal felony trials, ranging in every offense from Driving Under the Influence to Attempted Murder to Capital Sexual offenses.
Mr. Frank handles a broad array of criminal defense matters in the private and public sector, ranging from drug offenses, traffic infractions, thefts, burglaries, assault, battery, attempted murder, and sexual offenses. He has significant experience on 4th Amendment issues, having argued over 50 suppression motions based on illegal searched and seizures.
Mr. Frank’s experience in divorce and family law derives from his prior work experience representing clients in a large local law firm where he practiced almost exclusively family law. He strengthened his knowledge through his former private practice, focusing on family law and criminal defense.
Mr. Frank handles a broad array of divorce and family law matters in the private and public sector, ranging from dissolution of marriage, paternity, adoption, contempt and enforcement matters, and child support and timesharing modifications, divorce, paternity, adoptions, enforcement/contempt, and Guardian Ad Litem.
Mr. Frank is happily married to his former prosecutor Wife. He is active in various community activities and organizations: he is an avid runner who recently completed first half-marathon; he is a life-long Orlando Magic fan and season ticket holder; and he actively raises funds and awareness for Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy, a rare neurodegenerative brain disease that prematurely took the life of his father.
