Mrs. Smith has extensive experience in personal injury, contract disputes, business litigation, and guardianship litigation.

Ms. Smith has a decade’s worth of experience establishing and maintaining guardianships, as well as litigation in guardianship proceedings in Central Florida. Her experience was gained both in private law firms and in her own solo practice.

Ms. Smith’s notable achievements in guardianship cases include establishing a different guardianship for a ward whose then guardian was incapacitated by chronic alcoholism, and winning a case where a ward’s previous guardian was made accountable for breaches of fiduciary duty.

Ms. Smith spent three years heading up the litigation team for an elder law firm prior to joining CPLS, P.A. During that time, Mrs. Smith acted as second chair in a trust litigation and trial which successfully voided a $10 million dollar trust that arose out of a probate proceeding.

In addition to the $10 million dollar trust case, she successfully navigated numerous other probate cases, a notable one being a trial to contest a will initiated by the brother of the decedent, which Ms. Smith and her team won.
