Licenses, Taxes & Regulations

Licensing

It is important for your company to have the proper license(s) before conducting business. If your business is located in a city, it may be required to have a city license, a county license, and/or a state license, depending on your business or profession.  If you fail to obtain the proper licenses you and your business may face civil or criminal penalties.  At CPLS, P.A. we have helped our clients with licensing issues at the city, county, and state levels for individuals and businesess alike.   At times, the process is simple and requires minimal effort; however, at other times, the process is complex requires a comprehensive approach and strong advocacy.  For more information, please contact Attorney Tee Persad at attorneypersad@cplspa.com

Taxes

When you are forming a business, the tax ramifications are important to consider in choosing the type of entity and structuring the deal.   During this process it is important to have a competent accountant as well as an attorney who understands the tax ramifications.  At CPLS, P.A. we help you and your accountant make the best decisions for you and your organization.

Regulations

Many businesses are regulated by locan, state and federal government agencies, laws and regulations.  Having a law firm who understands the requirements of the laws and regulations, and who is familiar with the agencies charged with administering them is vital to the successful operation of a business.  At CPLS, PA we can help you and your business navigate the administrative process and ensure your compliance.
