Diversity

It is important for any organization to reflect the community which it serves. Its diversity should reflect the diversity of the community. At CPLS, P.A. our attorneys and staff are reflective of the diversity of our world community.

We include:

  • people from all over the United States and world;
  • a balance of women and men;
  • people of many religious beliefs;

Diversity and Community

We believe that we are strengthened by our diversity. Our diversity helps us understand our community’s needs and our client’s needs. It helps us understand the unique problems our clients face within their cultural communities. Our diversity also makes CPLS, P.A. the largest minority owned and most diverse law firm in our region and one of the fastest growing in our state. The firm’s growth is a direct result of our commitment to the finding the best team members from all sectors of our global society and giving them the opportunity to provide the highest quality of legal, counseling and consulting services to diverse individual clients, corporations, and public sector entities.

We firmly believe that law firms who want to truly and fairly serve their community and the world must include men and women of all ages, cultures, ethnicity, religious beliefs, and cultures. Diversity programs and committees are not necessary when race, gender, age, nepotism and ethnocentrism are not used as the basis for hiring, retention and providing opportunities in law firms.  Diversity should be a way of life, inclusion should be the norm, and potential team members in every firm should be evaluated on their character, education, skills, relevant experience, ability to consistently produce, competence, and their commitment to constant and never ending improvement to their lives and to the lives of everyone they encounter. Because e adhere to these principles, we include team members from all parts of our society, we can better communicate with our customers and identify their needs, and we can more effectively satisfy those needs.   In essence, we can be better servants to our clients, our communities, our state, our nation, and the world.  We can better give them the help they need, when they need it.

Diversity and Equal Employment

It is the Firm’s policy to ensure equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, age, sex, disability, citizenship, marital status, sexual orientation or any other characteristic protected by the law. Our commitment to diversity is an integral part of every facet of our firm, including our recruitment, hiring and training efforts as well as the organizations we belong to and programs we sponsor.
